Pocket Camera Link Support
Pocket Camera Link turns two iPhones into a local camera system. One iPhone works as Camera B while the other works as Viewer A for live video and audio, remote capture controls, and media management.
Getting Started
- Install the same version of Pocket Camera Link on both iPhones.
- Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on both devices and keep the App open in the foreground.
- On the camera iPhone, select Phone B · Camera and allow Local Network, Camera, and Microphone access.
- On the viewing iPhone, select Phone A · Viewer and allow Local Network access.
- Enter on Viewer A the six-digit pairing code shown on Camera B.
- After connecting, use Viewer A to view the live feed, take photos, record video, switch cameras, focus, zoom, and control supported camera features.
Troubleshooting
The phones cannot find each other: Confirm that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled, both devices are running the same App version, and both Apps remain in the foreground. If direct discovery is unavailable, connect both iPhones to the same Wi-Fi network or try Personal Hotspot on Viewer A.
No video or audio: Check Camera and Microphone permissions for Camera B, Local Network permission on both devices, and the Remote Mic and Speaker controls on Viewer A. Reopen the connection after changing a permission.
Recording or saving fails: Check available storage on the selected destination device. Photos permission is requested only when you explicitly export media to the system Photos library.
A rewarded ad is unavailable: Ads require internet access and may occasionally return no fill. This does not block pairing, manual quality settings, capture, recording, or local media management.
Permissions
- Local Network: discovers and connects the two iPhones and transfers live media and selected files.
- Camera: captures the Camera B live feed, photos, and videos.
- Microphone: sends live audio and includes audio in recordings when enabled.
- Add to Photos: exports a photo or video to the system Photos library only after you choose to save it there.
Responsible Use
Follow applicable laws and obtain any required consent before recording other people or private locations.
